Exploring Door County - Part 3

We got back to our cute little cottage and made some tasty supper.

Tacos :D

The Terra Cottages were such a great choice, we were right across from the water and had our own little private spot with parking in the back. It was peaceful and was the cheapest option we could find in the area too. You can find them on Airbnb.

Around 7:00 we went across the street and drove up to the marina and were able to watch one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen. Because of all the smoke in the air, everything was super red/pink and it was gorgeous.

The water was so still and tranquil.

There were a few other people watching with us too.

Before long the sun was below the horizon, and we still had a lot of evening left. So, we drove back to Ellison Bay, a few miles down the road, to a park we had seen earlier. And, they had a music event going on so we got out to listen!

It was a fun show, and they played some really entertaining music, here's a few pictures and videos I got on my phone.

Once the concert was done we picked up our things and headed across the street to a little restaurant to get a snack and something to drink. We tried lavender beer, and it was actually amazing! The waitress asked us if we were going to watch the meteor shower, and we were all surprised because none of us knew there was even going to be one.
So we did some quick research and learned that we might actually be able to see it from a wide open space. So we went back to the cottage and got a few things, then went down to the dock were we had watched the sunset and camped out to watch the show.

We saw quite a few meteors and really enjoyed ourselves. It was a quiet evening and the water was so peaceful, it almost lulled us to sleep. Around 11:00 we headed back to the cottage to get some sleep after a very long, but wonderful day.
