Canada & Beyond - Day 7 - Part 1

After a rainy night, we awoke on the morning of August 19th, to what seemed would be a calm and dreary day. But it was still so beautiful, the cove water was just pristine.

After some breakfast, we all walked up towards the main building on the campground, where we heard there was fresh coffee every morning for every one to enjoy.

This is the community firepit we had sat at the night before.

Of course I had to scope out the area and take some photos before heading inside ;)

We entered the thin screen door to find such a cute little hideaway. They had so many fun keepsakes from the area, it was fun to look it all over and learn more about the place and it's history.

We made friends with some of the locals that were in there enjoying their morning cup of coffee too. Got to hear lots of cool stories about the area and where each of them were from.

We got this group shot with the camp owner, Mr. Murphy himself. He was such a sweet guy, we had a hard time saying good bye!

But we had a lot of ground to make that day so decided we better get a move on.

We drove along the cove for quite some time, we loved all the gorgeous little rocky beaches not to mention the cute houses along the coast.

So many homes had old boats like this parked in their yards, it's a whole different world out there!

After a while we got more into "civilization" once again and started making our way North towards Cape Breton Island.

The scenery started to become more hilly, and there were lots of spots where the water came so far inland, you'd think it was just a lake, not part of the ocean!

Since we did so much driving that day, I'm cutting this post off here. I will pick up with the rest of the drive towards our destination in the next one :)
