Canada & Beyond - Day 6 - Part 1

We awoke on August 18th, on the hillside overlooking the gorgeous Bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia.

We made a tasty breakfast and some coffee, before packing up camp and heading down to the beach to check out the bay.

This famous bay is known as one of the 7 wonders of North America, for its insane tides that are the highest on earth, they go in and out 2 miles! The water levels change by 56 feet!
It would have been so nice to have the time to see that in person, but we at least got to see it come in quite a few feet during our morning there. We found a few cool shells and fossils, crabs, and so forth.

A few locals we visited with at the campground, said that the water level goes all the way up to the tops of those rocks when the tide is all the way in.

The grass was so soft and different, it looked like waves of green.

We saw a lot of this seaweed type stuff, and found some that was dried to keep.

Pretty Julia ;)

Situated these cute little crabs so I could get some pictures. They are easier subjects than moving ones haha.

I guess I should mention that the islands you see out there are the five islands this campground and the local town and park of Five Islands, are named after.

These stairs are designed so they can be lifted up when the tide comes in.

It was getting late in the morning and time for us to get a move on. So we drove up to the camp office to check out, and got an awesome view of the camp and bay. What a pretty place!

Thanks for looking through all these photos, I hope you enjoyed them! The next post will have photos of us exploring Halifax! So stay tuned!
