We spent July 2nd, exploring some different parts of the Sequoia National Park with Nathan's family. First off we rode a shuttle to, and then hiked, the General Sherman Tree trail. It's the world's largest tree by volume, it's dead at the top so just keeps growing around the trunk getting thicker and thicker.
After we had seen all there was to see on that trail, we rode a couple shuttles to get to the Moro Rock Trail. It was a steep hike up a lot of loops and steps, but oh so worth every step!
At the top we were at 6,500ft in elevation! It was a spectacular view to say the least.
After spending some time at the top we started to make our way back down the trail. Then we made the slow waiting game of catching shuttle buses back to where we had parked.
We made it back to camp around 6:00 or 7:00pm, had some supper and then spent our last evening together around the campfire laughing and having a good time. It was crazy how fast the time flew by! Lots of great memories were made, that's for sure! :)
